SOLAR AMPLIFICATION by STIMULATED EMISSION RADIATION
On October 10, 1998 at 02:25 am EST, the JSS group using the call W4JSS, exchanged data on 1296 MHz with OE9XXI, an Austrian station. Approximately 2 hours later, data with station OE9ERC was successfully exchanged.
OE9XXI won the 1296 MHz Single Operator division in last year's contest.
The following ARRL competition weekend, December 5-6 the JSS Station successfully worked K5JL, OZ4MM, KB2AH, and F6CGJ off the moon for a grand total of 6 QSOs and 22 stations copied.
The JSS/SASER website carries more details of our SASER efforts as the moonbounce affirms Phase I of the SASER Project.
