The Newest BCS Formula System
SportsDoc had proposed an NCAA football playoff system of the 16 top BCS teams in a
single elimination shootoff with the teams being seeded by the BCS ranking
system [ 1 - 16, 2 - 15, ...]. The existing Bowls will rotate/host the Playoff
Games.
The below New BCS Formula has now regressed back to the original ranking problems of the past where there existed tied polls/champions.
Statistically this is simple. Human bias is the reason
why computers are essential in the seeding or ranking process. Sports writers
from the Northeast are biased for teams in the Northeast, and coaches in the Big
12 are first biased for teams they play on their schedule and then for teams in
the Big 12... Computer formulas are not bias or show prejudice for any
particular teams.
